The Joint-ease contains herbs that have been used through the ages to ease the pain and stiffness of rheumatism and arthritis.
Back in the old days I guess they used these herbs because they just, well, worked. But more recently, science has enabled us to analyze exactly which constituents in these herbs act to remedy joint soreness.
Some are potent anti-oxidants which act like a cleaning crew for your body, scavenging free radicals before they can do degenerative damage to tissues. Some have aspiring-like pain relieving effects. Some are excellent anti-inflammatory herbs, with anti-spasmodic effects on tense muscles. And some even have a natural steroid-like effect.
The Joint-ease bath herbs can be used in conjunction with the tea to bring soothing relief.
The healing properties in these herbs are readily absorbed through the pores of the skin. It's ideal to soak in the bath for about 20 minutes, topping up with hot water if necessary.
The Joint-ease bath herbs contain:
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) - a healing, soothing and anti-inflammatory herb, useful for osteo-arthritis, muscle pain, wounds and skin conditions.
Epsom's Salts - Magnesium has both anti-inflammatory and anti- arthritic properties and is readily absorbed through the skin. Magnesium is one of the most important of the essential minerals in the body, and it is commonly deficient in the common diet. The heat of the bath can increase circulation and reduce the swelling of arthritis.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) -
Hops – contains more than 22 constituents that have anti-inflammatory activities and 4 constituents with anti-spasmodic properties. It has 10 constituents act as sedatives, alleviating pain.
Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria)
Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis)– another potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant herb.
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) -
Oatstraw (Avena sativa) -
Nettle (Urticia dioica) -
White Willow (Salix alba) -
