These are herbs known for their soothing and healing properties, to ease soreness and promote the healing of nappy rash in little ones. These herbs are also useful for a variety of other minor skin ailments.
To use, place about 5 tbsp of the herbs in the muslin drawstring bag. Then put the sachet in a non-metallic receptacle, add hot water and steep for about 10 minutes.
The herbal water and sachet can be added to the baby’s bath water.
Or, use the herbal liquid to gently wash the tender skin during nappy changes.
The herbal liquid can also be placed in a cleansing bottle, and this can be drizzled over the affected skin during nappy changes. Gently pat dry with cotton wool or soft muslin cloths.
It is ideal if your baby can go nappy-free to let air and filtered sunlight on the skin for a while, before replacing the nappy
