This is a special blend of herbs to help balance hormones, promote fertility and may help relieve the symptoms associated with polycystic ovaries.
The PeCOS Support Tea contains:
Chasteberry (Vitex agnuscastus) – an adaptogen herbs which normalizes pituitary gland activity and progesterone levels to promote a regular, healthy menstrual cycle.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) – regulates & normalizes hormone production & supports liver health. Improving liver function supports hormone clearance and therefore balances hormones.
Hibiscus Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa) – the healthiest tea there is, even richer in anti-oxidants than Green or White tea. It gives the tea a lovely rosy colour and tastes delicious.
Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – improves hormonal balance and lowers androgen levels.
Nettle (Urticia dioica) – a tonic herb rich in nutrients, including iron & Vitamin K, with anti-oxidant properties. Nettle also balances the hormones.
Peony (Paeonia lactiflora) - an oestrogen-modulating herb, also with anti-inflammatory action, indicated for menstrual irregularity, endometriosis, fibroids, hormonal imbalance such as androgen excess, and Polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) – purifies the blood and contains phyto-oestrogens which helps the symptoms of PCOS. Rich in vitamins and its high protein content benefits the whole body. High in calcium & magnesium, which relax the nervous system and help promote fertility. This herb also contains nearly every trace mineral needed by the glands. Daily use can help balance hormonal functioning.
Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) – a nutritionally-rich tonic herb for the female reproductive system, also rich in anti-oxidants and many vital minerals & vitamins including Calcium, Magnesium and Iron.
How to use:
Add 1 tbsp of herbs to your pot.
Pour on 1 cup of hot water.
Cover and steep for about 10 minutes.
Pour through a strainer into you chosen cup.
You can add lemon and honey for taste if you wish.
Drink 2-3 cups daily.
If you are drinking this tea during a month when you are actively trying to conceive, the best approach is to quit drinking this tea once you have ovulated. Wait until you know you are not pregnant before resuming the tea. This is because some of the herbs are not recommended for use during early pregnancy. Once you know you are pregnant, it’s time to stop taking the tea.
