Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) - A uterine tonic, rich in many nutrients including calcium, iron, magnesium and vitamins, which nourish the female reproductive system. Supports and tones the muscles and ligaments of the uterus.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) – a warming herb which improves circulation & reduces uterine cramps.
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa)– contains vitamins A, D, E and K as well as chlorophyll and carotene; and minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium. Helps remedy anaemia and balances hormones.
Nettle (Urticia dioica) – rich in many vitamins and minerals including Iron, Calcium and Vitamin K. Combats anaemia, builds up the blood, used for haemorrhage, especially of the uterus, and for heavy menstrual bleeding.
Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) –an astringent herb which has a strengthening effect on the endometrium & uterine wall.
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)– a balancing, calming herb.
Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) – a blood-building tonic rich in iron and copper salts, improves platelets & haemoglobin counts.
Withania (Withania somnifera)- this strengthening adaptogen herb is an ideal tonic for recovery and convalesence. It has the added benefit of anti-anaemic actions, building up the blood after excessive blood loss. Withania particularly addresses the fatigue felt in the after-math of haemorrhage.
How to use:
Place 1 tbsp of tea in a pot and add approximately one cup of hot water.
Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
Then pour through a strainer into your chosen cup.
Add lemon and a natural sweetener like raw honey or aguave if desired.
Enjoy your tea hot, warm or cold. Over ice is delicious and refreshing.
Drink freely throughout the day.
