White Willow or Willow Bark (Salix alba) - called "nature's aspirin", this herb addresses pain and fever. While it is found to be an effective herb, it is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in the case of allergy to salicylates or when using anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications.
Safety notes:
* If pregnant: avoid Feverfew and White Willow.
* If sensitive to Salicylates, avoid White Willow. Also called Willow Bark, some sources suggest avoiding this herb in children under age 16, due to the slight risk of Reyes Syndrome as observed in Aspirin use.
Let me know if these apply and I will leave out these ingredients for you.
If a child has a fever over 38.5 degrees Celsius for more than 24 hours, seek advice from your chosen health care professional.
