Yunnan Bai Yao is NOT safe to consume during pregnancy.
Please take personal responsibility and carefully research the use of this substance and consult your health care provider before use.
Yunnan Bai Yao has been used for generations in China and further afield, for many decades.
I first heard about it from an article by Sister Morningstar in the Midwifery Today Journal.
A word of warning:
Like many things, there's some pretty wild claims out there on the 'wild west' of the internet. I'm not into spurious claims or conspiracy theories and urge people to check information carefully, understand the hierarchy of evidence, and find reputable sites. I am not anti-science and I don't believe there's a natural alternative for every major class of pharmaceutical medicine that is "just as good". I've personally tried Indian Ghost Pipe and no, I did not find it as effective as Endone. I love herbs but I do not believe that some usnea in vinegar or colloidal silver is just as good as anti-biotics; or that Ivermectin will do instead of Lagevrio (unless you have a pretty wicked case of intestinal worms); or that some black salve will effectively treat skin cancer. (Being a bit salty here, but we need to be able to think critically and research carefully not just when it's medical or obstetric convention that is not well-founded in actual evidence, but also when it's our own natural & alternative health "sacred cows" being called into question.) I've seen some pretty out-there "influencer" type videos about Yunnan Bai Yao and I wouldn't advise or recommend you accept what they say without more careful investigation.
That said, if for whatever reason, you're in the position of birthing outside of the medical system, or for some reason are having difficulty reaching medical help, having some Yunnan Bai Yao capsules in your emergency kit for your pet cat or dog might be worth looking to.
I'll provide some links below and I trust you to be wise, sensible and responsible in making decisions around your well-being & safety, and that of your family & pets, and organizing appropriate contingency plans.
If you are located in North America, here is a birth supply company that sells the capsules (and there's some interesting comments there too).

Yunnan Paiyao (also know as Yunnan Baiyao) is a secret formula of
Chinese herbs containing mostly Pseudoginseng and Angelica. Because it
is contraindicated during pregnancy, midwives often don’t include this
valuable patent Chinese remedy in their medicine bags. It is easily
available in Chinese Medicinal pharmacies all over the world. It also is
relatively inexpensive and is packaged to give it a long shelf life.
